InternetSAR.org

Volunteers collaboratively analyzing aerial and satellite imagery to assist in search and rescue efforts.

Getting Started

If you are interested in joining us in this Internet Search and Rescue effort, you will need to register first.  You will also need to have a broadband Internet connection (dial-up is too slow to download imagery) and a current version of Google Earth installed on your computer.  You can download Google Earth here.

Once you have installed Google Earth, please see our Google Earth Settings page for configuration suggestions.

After you have configured Google Earth, read our page "Initial Observers - Using InternetSAR.org and Google Earth."

Again, if you would like to participate in our efforts and have not already done so, please register here.  Everyone is welcome.  You do not need any professional training to participate, just a good set of eyes, attention to detail, and some extra time to devote to the search.
